Terms & Conditions
Last updated October 1, 2026
These terms describe how the personalized book service works today. They are written to be accurate rather than impressive, and they will be reviewed and expanded before the first paid order is taken.
What we provide
We turn a story and a set of photographs that you send us into a personalized printed book. The work includes shaping the story, writing and editing it, choosing a visual direction, designing the pages, and arranging printing and delivery.
The final product is a physical printed book. A digital preview is part of the process so you can review the content before printing, but the thing you receive is a book you can hold.
What we need from you
- An accurate account of the story, to the best of your knowledge.
- Photographs you have the right to use.
- A valid email address and a reachable delivery address.
- Your approval on the preview before we print.
You can answer “I am not sure” as often as you like. We will work with what exists rather than asking you to invent details.
Previews and approval
We send you a preview before anything is printed. You may request changes to wording, tone, structure, names, photo placement and design direction at that stage. Printing does not begin until you have approved a specific version.
We will tell you clearly and in writing what you are approving, and we will wait for your confirmation.
Price and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). The price displayed for the book covers the book, the design work and the delivery.
At the time of writing, orders are arranged directly with us by email rather than through an automated checkout. We will confirm the total, what it includes, and how payment is made before any money changes hands. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to a specific amount first.
Printing and delivery
Books are printed to order. Because each book is made individually, the time between approval and delivery depends on the book and where it is going. We will give you a realistic estimate for your specific book rather than a generic number, and we will tell you if anything changes.
Delivery times are estimates provided by carriers, not guarantees. If a book arrives damaged, contact us and we will sort it out.
Changes and cancellation
Before a preview is approved, you can change your mind or stop the project at no cost. Once you have approved the preview and printing has started, the book is already being made and cannot be changed or cancelled — this is why we ask you to be certain before confirming.
If we are unable to produce or deliver your book, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for it.
Your material and permissions
Your story and your photographs remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
By submitting them, you give us permission to use them for one purpose: creating, printing and delivering the book you have asked for. That permission ends when the work is finished or when you ask us to delete your material.
We will not publish your story or photos, or use them in our own marketing, without your explicit permission.
Please do not send us
- Content you do not have the right to use.
- Material that is unlawful, or that defames or harasses another person.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits a child.
If material like this is sent to us, we will decline the project and delete it.
Limits of our responsibility
We are responsible for producing the book carefully and as approved. We are not responsible for inaccurate details you have given us, for the loss of a relationship described in a book, or for events in your story.
Where we are liable for something, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the book in question.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
