FAQ
Questions people ask before they start.
Short, direct answers. Where we genuinely do not know a number yet, we say so instead of inventing one.
No. Most people send us notes, half-sentences and bullet points. That is genuinely the easiest way for us to work. You are not being graded on the writing - you are telling us what happened, and we take it from there.
5-20 photos is a good starting point. They can be phone photos, old scans, or a mix. If you have more, send them. If you only have three, send those - we will build the book around what exists rather than asking you to invent anything.
After you submit your story, we prepare a preview for your review. We would rather tell you the real timeline once we have seen your story than quote a number that turns out to be wrong.
Yes. You review the text before anything is printed, and you can ask for changes to wording, tone, structure, names, or anything that does not sound like the person it is about.
Yes, before final approval. Cover style, typography, how photos are placed, whether the book leans photographic or illustrated - all of it is open while you are looking at the preview.
The final product is a physical printed book. A hardcover, printed and bound, delivered to you. There is a digital preview along the way so you can approve the content, but what you receive is something you can hold.
Yes, and most people do. Books can be shipped directly to the person receiving them, and arrive wrapped. If you would rather hand it over yourself, we can ship it to you instead.
We print, bind, package and ship your book to you. Once it is in production we will tell you when to expect it.
